  • Starting a digital scrapbook kit for resale from purchased commercial use OK papers can be fun and easy. Using pre-made papers doesn't mean you can't express your own style because there a quite few ways to customize and modify papers for inclusion in your kits.

  • Here are three ways you could try with some of the cool papers available in the store at CUDigitals.com

  • 1. The quickest way is to simply change the colors of a paper pack.
  • These wonderful art papers  by Murielle are delivered in this color scheme

  • After you have a paper adjusted to your liking, you can use a color scheme generator like Pictaculous to make a palette for the rest of your project.

  • LEVEL UP
  • *You can copy the same adjustment layers you used on one paper to other papers in the pack! First open the next paper. Then go back to the first paper (that you adjusted) and select each of the adjustment layers from the layers palette by clicking on the first and CTRL+clicking on subsequent layers. Then RIGHT CLICK on layer name (or select Layer in the menu) and choose "Duplicate Layers". Then simply choose the next paper in the Document drop down box.

  • *If you are trying to get a certain color in a paper to match well to something else, put that item on a layer ABOVE the paper (and below any adjustments) so you can compare easily without flipping back and forth between documents. If it is a color from a swatch, create a new layer with a square fill near the color you want to match.

  • 2. Another way to build papers is to add distressing and texture overlays. There are many distressed and textured overlays in the store to help you layer up papers to make something truly unique. This paper was made from a combination of Jilbert's Painted Flower Papers (hue/saturation adjustment added), Grunge Textures by The Urban Fairy and Cardstock Textures from CU by Day. With the addition of some water stain brushes, this paper went from floral to camo!
