This week’s featured designer is ADB Designs. She joined the store just this year and here is your chance to learn a little more about her plus shop her sale and download a useful Commercial Use digital scrapbooking freebie.
Let’s start with a mini interview -
What’s Your Real Name?
My name is Anita Diane Birrell though I go by Diane not Anita.
Tell us a little about yourself!
I live in a small town in the middle of the USA on 5 acres of beautiful woods with my husband and 2 goofy English setters (Gus & Betty). My daughter and her two daughters live in a nearby town and my son lives in Florida.
How long have you been designing CU Products?
I have been designer of CU products for 2 years and started because I could not find what I wanted for my vintagy (is that a word? LOL) PU products. I focus on ephemera and "found things" but also design generic products as well.
Here is a look at some of my favorite of Diane’s commercial use digiscrap tools
What programs do you use?
I use PS-CC and AI primarily to design but I am always looking for the next awesome tool/plug in to use.
What is your favorite time to work?
I design during the normal work hours of 8-5 and sometimes in the evening. I try to make sure family time and design time don't conflict. I love to spend time when I am not designing with a book. I have a beautiful library my husband built for me, so I sit there in the evening and read and sip my favorite beverage: gin & tonic with a splash of lime in the summer and scotch on the rocks in the winter.
What are your best selling products?
The product that I offer with the greatest versatility, and my best selling product, is my series of mats. Mats are an awesome tool for designers with a myriad of uses. Use them to create background mats that match your kits, of course, but in addition, you can size them down for tags or journal cards, cut out centers and create frames, use as masks for unique background papers, trim and create unique elements, use them as the foundation for creating photo masks for your kits, combine 2 or more together....you are only limited by your imagination. I am currently working on more square mats for this series.
These are the most popular with the designers who shop at CUDigitals
Check our Diane’s entire product line HERE – you will want to bookmark her work for easy access to really useful ephemera to add a splash (or heavy dose) of vintage to your kits!
And while you’re there, you can download this fun free sample of Diane’s super popular mats – you can make SO MANY these with these mats. We hope you have fun trying them out.
Be sure to come back next week when our second feature week with Diane will include a giveaway for a $10 shopping spree in her store!
