Designer Tip
Many consignment stores offer or require quality checks for products sold in their stores. I also recommend you always do a QC check on everything yourself as well. If your store doesn’t do it, you have the peace of mind to know that your customers are getting quality goods. If your store does do it also, you save yourself the trouble of fixing things later on.
There are two different methods of checking in your design work flow: right away or in a batch.
I prefer to do it right away, that way I can fix any issues immediately. I leave my Photoshop file open and save in the final format as well (.jpg or .png). Then I open that file and do the quality check:
stray pixels, missing pixels, drop shadows, resolution and sizing.
If I have any issues, I go back to the original file, fix and recheck. When everything is correct, I can move on to the next item.
Offering quality products is important and just one way to build trust with your customers.
