Do you ever get stuck in the middle of a kit? Or stumped for a solution to a problem at work or home? Stepping away from it for a time may be just what you need to find inspiration or an answer. Especially if you do something relaxing. Research has shown when your brain relaxes (as measured by alpha wave activities), creativity is enhanced or restored – which can bring epiphanies and insight – or aha! moments. For example, have you ever finished a kit and mentally put it on a shelf to have another idea for it later on? I know I have. So building in a little creativity margin into your work can help you incorporate fresh ideas. Some of my best kits have been built around this idea. Maybe you’ll want to give it a try too!
