What is your real name? Karina Navia Tell us a little about yourself I live in North Carolina with my wonderful husband. We have 4 wonderful children. Marc my first born is 16, Michael is 13, Kayleigh is 4 and Cassie is 2
How long have you been designing CU products and how did you get started?
I have been designing CU product for 1 1/2 years. I started by designing PU kits and decided to start designing CU products. I think I have a bit of ADD as I can not concentrate on one thing for long. I have to switch from designing kits to designing CU products so I won't get bored.
Here are some of my favorite products that Karina has in the store at CUDigitals, especially for your Fall design projects!
What programs do you use to design your products? I use CS 6 and illustrator to design my products. My sister gave me Photoshop 7 about 10 years ago. I started to use it for photo manipulation at first and about 9 years ago I found the joys of digital scrapbooking.
What is your favorite time of day to design? With having four active children I design when ever I have time. Some times is during the day other times is at night time when my little munchkins are asleep.
What are a few of your favorite products that you’ve made?
My favorite product that I have made is my ricrac flowers, which is also my best selling product. I also like my stitches. I have several customers ask me if I will be making more stitches so more stitches are in my to do list. Another best seller is my Frames Set 3
What are a few of your favorite products that you’ve made?
My favorite product that I have made is my ricrac flowers, which is also my best selling product. I also like my stitches. I have been working on some layered cardboard elements that I hope will be ready soon. Some of my other best-sellers are my Keys 1, Frames 3, Denim Flowers and Metal Hearts
What do you love to do when you are not working?
My main job is being a Mom and driving my children from event to event. Both of my boys play competitive soccer so I drive all over North Carolina. My older son has his license so he helps somewhat, but now my daughter is starting soccer so we are starting the cycle all over again. At the end it is all worth it as I love watching them play.
