I am excited to let everyone get to know a new featured designer this week. Kim's designs are very popular with our customers and I hope you enjoy learning a little more about her

Name: Kim Cameron
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your family. I was born and raised here in Georgia, where I met my husband of 23 years. We have three wonderful children, and a perfect little grandson.
How long have you been designing CU products and how did you get started?
I have been designing for over 6 years now. I originally discovered digital scrapbooking through a friend. It didn’t take long for me to catch the designing-bug and it has been an addiction for me ever since.

Do you design PU products as well?
Yes, I do, although not as often as CU products.
What programs do you use to design your products?
The program I create most of my designs with is GIMP. It was the first program I learned to use, so I feel most comfortable with it. I do use Photoshop now and then too.
What is your favorite time of the day to design?
My favorite time of day to design is definitely early in the morning, right after my first cup of coffee.
Can you give us a great tip for using one of your products to create digital scrapbooking kits?
I design mostly simple element templates. I try to leave room for the customer to add their own personal touches to the elements. I highly recommend trying out different patterns and adding new details to the template to make it unique.
What are a few of your favorite products that you’ve made?One of my favorites is Home Movies. One of our favorite pastimes as a family is watching movies or home videos. I also love my pirate collection of products. I had so much fun making those.

What are your best-selling products?
My best-selling products are Backyard Fun, Actions! and Island Luau.

Do you have plans for your next set of CU products?I have several products in the works, including a couple of grab bags that have knights, dragons, and some fun garden templates.

What do you love to do when you are not working?We live in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, so we enjoy taking nature hikes and visiting the local parks in our area for a family picnic. I also enjoy video games, believe it or not. I could get lost in a good game for hours! LOL! A couple of other favorite activities for me is reading, gardening and painting.
What is your favorite beverage?That would most definitely be coffee. The first thing I do every morning is fix a pot of coffee, and then I drink it throughout the day.
If you could learn anything what would it be?I would love to learn how to do more professional photographs with my camera!
