Featured Designer - ADB Designs Giveaway and Mats Ideas

This is week two of our feature on Diane of ADB Designs at CUDigitals. Check out last week’s post for some interesting biographical info on this great designer plus details on her sale and limited time freebie.

Last week, we learned that Diane’s Deco Mats series are among her best sellers. Here are ten fun ways you can use her mats to create interesting embellishments for your digital scrapbook kits.

1. Clip one of the solid or very lightly patterned papers from your kit to a mat for an instant embellishment. Add some inking around the edges or some stamping on the main part of the mat for extra punch.

2. Cut a “hole” out of a mat to make it into a frame

3. Resize the mat to use as a journal block

4. Resize the mat and put a saying, word art or title on it

5. resize and repeat a mat to create a border

6. Use a mask for brushes to create a stenciled inky mat

7. Use as a mask to create a stenciled look on a paper

8. Layer with other embellishments for a cluster or a frame

9. Layer multiple mats together with different papers and colors clipped to them

10. resize to make a base for alphas or date “tags”
