80 New Releases This Week

There is still time to get aboard the Digi Shop Talk March Blog Train. Submissions can be created until Feb 28.
Who can join: Digital Scrapbooking designers who are registered users at digishoptalk.com. Registration is free, if you are not a member of the site, you can register here. Designers must have a blog relating to digital scrapbooking. Stores and facebook pages will not be included in this train.
After registering, go to the forums here http://www.digishoptalk.com/boards/index.php and scroll down to DST Conference Center to see instructions for gaining access to the designer area of the forums. You will need to be approved before you can view the board containing the blog train info.
Blog trains are a great way to gain exposure for your designs – name recognition, newsletter subscribers, blog followers and hopefully customers. When creating a blog post with a blog train or other freebie make sure you give your readers something else to look at BESIDES just the freebie to grab.

• provide a link to your newsletter signup
• promote a subscription to your blog
• ALWAYS show off some recent releases or sale items in your store
• possibly offer a coupon

Realistically, a HUGE majority of blog train riders are just going to grab the freebie and run. A small percentage will leave a little note of thanks, which is nice! And some will go to your store and buy something so it’s up to you to make it easy for them! If you don’t show them anything else in their product line, they are much less likely to hunt around your blog for shopping links.
